Wei-Teng Chang

Dr. Wei-Teng Chang grew up and finished his veterinary degree in Taiwan in 2007. He moved to the United States in 2015 where he finished his one-year clinical training at Louisiana State University. Afterward, he worked at a small animal clinic in Texas for 2 years followed by an integrative practice in Arizona for a year before joining Independent Hill Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Chang’s professional interest is in preventative care and integrative medicine. He is passionate about Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, including acupuncture and herbal therapy. He received certification in acupuncture through the Chi Institute of Florida in 2015. He is also a Reiki-certified practitioner through the Jikiden Reiki Institute of Japan, where Reiki originates. He believes the best treatment for the disease is to prevent it from happening, through the balance between emotion, food, environment, and body itself.

Dr. Chang has one cat, Meme, whom he adopted from a shelter in Phoenix. She is sweet and follows where her owner goes. Dr. Chang enjoys meditation, hiking, traveling, and playing video games outside of work.
