Manassas Integrative Veterinary Medicine
Integrative Medical Care for Your Pets
At Independence Hill Veterinary Clinic, we believe that it’s important to approach your pet’s health with a great deal of care and attention to detail. Our integrative approach to your pet’s health means that not only do we care about their medical needs, but also other aspects of their wellbeing that can have an impact on their overall quality of life.
We proudly offer integrative medicine appointments in addition to our regular wellness appointment. Integrative medicine appointments include a medical exam, consultation with one of our Manassas veterinarians, and special services such as acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, or other wellness services that we believe may benefit your pet’s overall health and wellbeing.
Integrative Pet Care
There are many ways to keep your pet healthy. We believe in working alongside you to ensure your pet’s longevity and quality of life.
A holistic, integrative approach to veterinary medicine can include:
- Chinese herbal medicine
- Chiropractic adjustments
- Laser therapy
- Nutritional counseling
The above list is only a few examples of how we at Independent Hill Veterinary Clinic approach your pet’s health from a whole-body perspective.
Acupuncture is an Eastern form of medical treatment that uses very fine needles to pinpoint specific areas of the body to produce a response. You may be familiar with this practice in humans, but acupuncture can be just as beneficial to animals as well. We are pleased to offer acupuncture services as part of our holistic approach to your pet’s healthcare.
Chinese Herbal Medicine at Independent Hill Veterinary Clinic
As part of our holistic approach to your pet’s health and wellbeing, we are proud to be able to offer both Eastern and Western medical practices. Depending on your pet’s needs and your own preferences, Chinese herbal medicine may be a solid alternative to treat various conditions.
Our highly trained Manassas veterinarians may recommend these alternatives in addition to other treatments or traditional Western medical approaches. We’ll take our time to walk you through all of our recommendations and answer your questions so that you can be confident your pet is getting exactly what they need.
Your pet has dietary needs that are just as particular to them as your own dietary needs are to you. Whether you have a new, growing puppy or kitten, or you have an older pet who is overweight, our team can help you devise a nutritional program to ensure your pet is getting the right kind and amount of nutritional support so that they can live their best life. Your pet’s needs can change as they grow older, so we’ll make sure to develop a plan that is adjustable throughout their lives.
We are treated just as if we were part of the regular Independent Hill "family".- Donna
